Almond Cheese Ball
If you’re looking for an easy appetizer that’s always a hit, this Almond Cheese Ball recipe is just the thing! This is another one of my classic faves from the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cookbook. (Shiloh was the church I grew up going to as a kid.) Not only is this recipe creamy, cheesy, and filled with colorful bell peppers and diced pimentos, it’s rolled in crunchy chopped nuts for the perfect combination of flavors and textures.
Serve it with buttery crackers at your next holiday gathering, game-day party, or family get-together. It’s simple to make ahead of time, easy to share, and the kind of classic party appetizer that keeps everyone coming back for another bite!

A pinch of sugar
1 cup sliced almonds, chopped

Instructions:
In a medium bowl, whip the cream cheese with a mixer until it is fluffy. **As a shortcut, you can also use whipped cream cheese.
Add in the sharp cheddar cheese, green bell pepper, chopped pimentos, chopped onion, and pinch of sugar. Mix together until combined.
Roll mixture into a ball and put in wax paper or plastic wrap.
Place in refrigerator overnight to cool. **As a shortcut, you can also freeze it for 20-25 minutes.
When you are ready to serve, remove the ball from the wrap and roll it in crushed nuts to form a coating around the outside.
